Whats the diff?

My old faithfullToshibs laptop has finally given up the ghost, and I have been looking for a replacement, something small and compact.What I dont understand is  the hysteria surrounding the latest gadget out there, the netbook. Unless Im missing something, arent they, along with notebooks, pretty much just a small laptop? And if so, whats all the fuss about?

They don't have a CD/DVD drive as they're only designed for internet use hence the name Netbook

I have a netbook. Great for mobility. I normally sit in front of the TV with the netbook.

Bear in mind that netbooks have very low specifications, so what you can do with them is limited. Typically, web browsing and email are all they are good for.
