Incorrect statement from eBay

For some months each time I go to bid on an item a message appears that I have a history of unpaid items & so are barred from further activity.
Have no idea what this is all about as I have never owed anyone any money. Have bought successfuly on eBay for over 20 years & sell very little. How do I go about unravelling this mystery ?

Under purchases, check the unpaid items tab, if nothing there contact ebay CS via live chat.
