My buyer can't pay for the item in my shop

I registered my eBay account in 2020, initially as a buyer. Recently, I started trying to sell some inexpensive items on the platform. I also advertised my new shop on my Facebook. One of my old classmate saw my post on Facebook, and then he visited one of my listing and wanted to make a purchase. However, when he reached the checkout page, he encountered the message 'An unknown error occurred when processing payment.' He has tried using both PayPal and credit cards, but was unable to place an order. Can you please provide insight into this situation? I wonder if it has anything to do with my previous Australian bank account that I had linked on eBay but later unlinked. Could this be affecting his ability to place an order? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
