Just because they can!!

I am not being facetious, but Pitney Bowes are a law unto themselves regarding what they will and will not ship to Australia (and presumably any other country)

We have seen buyers of everything from penknives to musical instruments coming here to complain that Pitney Bowes is refusing to ship items even when there are no Customs issues involved.

Usually the first the seller knows of the problem is when the buyer contacts them....they have been paid and have sent the item to PB for onshipping.  The item itself is kept by PB (and supposedly sold to defray expenses, although I have no personal knowledge of this).

Often the first the buyer knows of the problem is when their item does not show up in the tracking as having been shipped.

Then the fun start trying to get your money back.

You are lucky....you know the item is not being shipped.  Just make sure you get your refund.
