Are buyers still eligible for buyer protection if their post code is incorrect?

A buyer is saying they haven't received their package and I just realised their postcode in paypal is incorrect so that's what was on the package. IS the buyer in the wrong or is it my fault for not checking?

If the rest of the address is 100% correct, then there is no real reason the parcel should not get through.

If you sent it to the exact address as listed in their account, you've done the right thing, it's not up to you to have to second guess an address or change it.

But if you sent it off with no tracking or way of proving the package was delivered, then I am guessing ebay/paypal would find in favour of the buyer, whether the postcode is correct or not.

A few questions for you...

Did you send with tracking that can be linked to the buyer's paypal address?

Did you lodge over the counter and get a lodgement scan event recorded?

What is the status of that tracking? Does it show lodged? Does it show delivered?

Has the buyer opend a formal INR case against you?

Is the case thru ebay MBG or PayPal?

Answers to these will enable us to give you a bit more info on this.
