Australia Post Senate enquiry

http://lpogroup.com.au/

Apparently an inquiry was opened last November, I assume by small Postoffices around Australia, regarding the ongoing price rises. And where will it end?? A rural PO gave me this information on Friday & so far 160 submissions of disgruntlement or whatever have been put forward. More are encouraged.

The website above LPO group outlines snippets and reason for the enquiry and the website below is where you can post a submission regarding concern over continued rising prices on a regular basis. I was also told that the CEO of Australia Post earns $4.8 million dollars per year.

The more submissions & agitation from the public, the better ... originally, only 9 days were allowed for the inquiry...but over 100 subs came in toot sweet and the date been extended several times (currently till November)  waiting for more response from postoffices and online sellers.

Old thread but I know that some of us have never stopped our feelings about the issue of rising prices, higher thresholds and poor delivery service.

It has just been revealed that the CEO took home $5.6 million in 2016:

Some years ago, Gerry Harvey said "I don't know of any CEO that's worth more than $500K".

That figure now is probably $1Mil but the point remains valid.

I gather the senate inquiry did nothing?

It seems the age of entitlement isn't over for everyone.

Maybe, in light of the current move to strip pollies of some of their perks, in future they will be more inclined to share the pain.
