The buyer said they want the item shipped to Nigeria. I know its a scam so I refused it. However, they say they have made a payment and sent a confirmation payment from Citibank which I know is a fake. I did not open nay links in their email. I did not reply to them. Now they are saying that if they don't hear me, they will report me to eBay for fraud. What do I do?

Get in first and ring ebay tomorrow....report them as scammers
There is nothing they can do and the chances of them contacting ebay is remote.
Also, report the messages....there is a report link on every message.

To avoid scammers who target new sellers (or low feedback) with designer high priced items, your better to list as a Buy It Now with Immediate Payment required (which is via Paypal only). It will stop anyone trying to scam you.

I noticed you have listed to post to Australia only. Make sure you set up postage preferences to block the rest of the world so they can't buy from you. http://cgi5.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ExcludeShippingList
I would also set up buyer requirement blocks to try and stop them too. http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences
Set those to:
unpaid items 2 items in 12 months (helps weed out the serial non payers).
Block buyers in a location I don't post to - tick.
Buyer with policy violations - 4 in 6 months
Buyers who haven't gone through phone verification - only apply to buyers with less than 5 feedback (or whatever number you choose, but I wouldn't recommend much under 5)
Apply above to current and future listings
Tick the box to stopped blocked buyers contacting you.
Submit.

I wonder if this is the same scamming 'person' who tried the similar scam on the seller in the other thread over the weekend?

In addition to what other poster have said. COD is an expensive service offered by Australia Post. I suggest you change your listing to indicate Cash on Pick Up preferred if you are going to offer the pick up option.
