How to cancel a transaction due to non payment

the eBay help section states that if a buyer hasn't paid the seller can cancel the order and the unpaid cancellation is recorded on the buyer's account.  However when I go to cancel the transaction the only options are:

1. Out of stock / damaged,

2. Buyer asked to cancel

3. Issue with buyer's delivery address

So how do we cancel a transaction due to non-payment?

A PS.  Also sometimes it has being noted, if you have sent the buyer an invoice reminder the 4 days starts again.  I havent had that myself, but others here have commented,  but it is worth considering

The system is completely flawed. We have one currently in the same situation. Will be contacting ebay Monday about this. Last time we cancelled a item the buyer left negative feedback ebay wouldn't remove it. The system is a complete joke! Any buyer that won't pay for an item a seller should be able to leave a negative feedback for and in turn any future purchase the buyer makes should be under consideration to a seller accepts or denies a sale to them for any purchase they make!

Interesting,  you cant leave negative feedback for a seller if they cancelled due to non payment,  so obviously you used another reason,  in which case based on the buyers comment,  they were justified.

As said, you can't get feedback if you cancelled due to buyer did not pay, so your comment is flawed

eBay has not allowed buyers to be given negs since about 2008

BUT

Even if it was allowed these days, how do you see your idea working?

Other sellers are not going to see who the 'buyer' who did'nt pay is, so that is flawed

And if sellers do correctly report non payers and have their blocks in place, the fake 'buyers' won't be able to buy from those sellers

Contact away

They will simply tell you what you want to hear to get rid of you from their pre-written script

Did you report this 'buyer' who left you feedback to the police?
