Having access to that amount of users would escalate the take up of their Bitcoin payment platform, add in the number of eBay sellers and they have a very clear and clever strategy.

I'd welcome the takeover as nobody could be worse than current management.

However, this is a cryptocurrency broker who has been overtaken by the opposition. Doesn't say a lot about their ability to run a company, nor for eBay's attractiveness to real sharks.

eBay paid a dividend of about 0.5% last year. Banks pay more than that

yeah - they've tried to do it in the past unsuccessfully. they acquired the NY stock exchange and it had little-to-no effect on their coin value.
