Incorrect Address Information on an Order

We have received an order from a new buyer with ZERO feedback and who just joined ebay today.

They did all the right things and paid straight away. No worries there!

Problem is their postal address is missing the street name. It just has a number (23) and that's it.

Suburb and postcode is correct in Melbourne.

I have tried contacting them thru ebay messaging but no response.

I tried sending an email to the email address given in paypal but it got rejected with a delivery failure so that appears to be invalid.

We can't send the item to the paypal address as it will certainly not get there and will just return to us as undelivered.

If they never answer any thoughts on how we get around this one?

Incorrect Address Information on an Order

Thanks sparklz.

I looked in the sales record and found there was a phone number in there.

Sorry! Should have looked there first. Silly me with egg on face! Smiley Embarassed

So I called the buyer and they gave me the street name over the phone.

I recommended that they log into their paypal account and correct the problem in there.

But they said we don't have a paypal account we paid by credit card.

I was a bit confused by that as we see a paypal record in the sales record and the same address error shows up in there.

It looks like a normal paypal instant payment to us.

So I'm unsure why she thinks she has no paypal account.

Anyway we can mail her item now. So problem solved.

Incorrect Address Information on an Order

Changing an address in Paypal would not make any difference, it is the delivery address showing in ebay checkout that is passed on to Paypal. The buyer has paid through Papal as a guest using their credit or debit card, they do not need to open an account although if they wish to make a claim they will have to do so.
