Invoice for just postage costs

Can you raise an invoice for just postage costs as buyer paid for item which was for pickup?

If not, how do you solve this dilemma?

No, you cannot.

In this situation I send a PayPal funds request after buyer gives me their PP email addy.

Or buyer sends postage costs via DD or PP once you have informed them of the amount and give them your PP email.

I think there are sellers who just create a special listing for postage only - maybe you could try that?

I do this, just sell similar and change the listing to postage only for that item and combine them in mypost so both get the same tracking info.
