Search Filtering

Surely it's not kosher to have a search filter titled 'Price + Postage - Lowest First'

And then not show the listings in order of 'Price + Postage - Lowest First'?

Eg

Sellers who are higher in price for the same item,  are further down in the search list when filtered for 'Price + Postage - Lowest First'

They have less feedback. Same %. Same item and the more expensive is listed first.

I just can't fathom how that is not deceptive conduct.

Re: Search Filtering

I always find those parameters to be precise.

Price + postage combined, lowest are listed first.

However there are also featured paid ads in the form of listings that come before the proper search.

Sometimes 6-8 featured, then the search begins.

i dont understand why Im top rated, offering premuim service and at the bottom of the search list, well below those who are not top rated, not offering free postage / premium service and arent as cool as me.

Theres no truth in anything Ebay says.

Re: Search Filtering

Well I've fired off a message to CS which will be promptly ignored. So far I've checked around 15 listings and we're cheapest but not first on that search term FOR ALL 15

Time to give up. Just had a buyer asked to cancel because she 'ordered wrong size'. Except she didn't and when I pointed this out, she admitted she found a cheaper one. Best of luck on the china copy love!

Re: Search Filtering

I've read where people with multi-variant listings show up at the lower end if they have just one item variation in the listing at a low price. Could this be the case?

G'day mate . . . . . . maybe things operate differently in the USA than they do here in Australia.
