Selling an item but problems are starting to occur

Has anyone had dealings with REMOVED?  We have had all sorts of problems and we emailed him to say there was a problem at his end.  Now he has asked us to buy a $200 google card to put in with the card to be sent to his nephew in Australia (He is from Mountain View Arkansas),  and he would put in an extra $50 postage.  Didn't want to pay through eBay but PayPal.  I think it is screaming SCAM!!

110% a scam and a hugely common one

They even have recorded warnings about the 'Google/gift card' scam in supermarkets every day

And many, many posts about the same scam throughout the forum

Is this the same 'buyer' who bought the baseball card (or whatever it was) from you?

It absolutely screams SCAM - I'm surprised you even have to ask?

Stop communicating with him and just cancel the transaction with the reason "problem with buyers address".

Then block him.

Actually, the person who bid is no longer showing as a registered user. Either they've deactivated their account or Ebay has removed them.

You'll definitely need to cancel and then relist the item.
