Should I 'accept' a buyer wanting to pay 12 days after my auction ended?

If they had of said a couple of days because they were waiting on funds or something that would be a different story. But they emailed me and TOLD me they would pay in 12 days. I guess I'm in no rush for the money but mustn't payment be made within 5 days at the most? Should I just accept it?

Ebay allow the customer 4 days to pay, and another 4 days from when the UPI is issued, giving a total of 8 days. It's up to you whether or not you allow customers to pay at a later date, but I wouldn't take kindly to being TOLD when they intend paying and would issue a UPI after 4 days, then close it 4 days later, which prevents them from leaving bad feedback and also has your FVF credited back to your account.

If they have asked, I would consider it.

If they are telling you, I find that thoughtless and disrespectful.

If you still want the sale, I would message them and tell them thats fine but you will open a case in 8 days just as a normal procedure, giving them a further 4 days to pay, being 12 days. That way you can close the case if they don't pay on day 12 as they say.
