Sometimes it pays to be persistent

Common situation, package has been marked delivered but the buyer is claiming non-delivery.

After about 3 weeks and several back and forth messages with the courier broker I use (transdirect.com.au if anyone is interested) where I had to convince them that it had not in fact been delivered, I finally got this message from them:

"Hello,

Thank you for your patience with this matter.
The carrier has advised that the driver had collected this parcel from where it was incorrectly delivered to, and has since been delivered correctly."

The actual courier doing the delivery was Couriers Please (no surprise). I guess it helps when you have a large account (the broker) and can throw your weight around.

Feel a bit sorry for the driver having to go knock on the door and ask for the item that was likely opened and used, it was a playstation.
