but why are they the same, you would think a basic store would be less.

Not sure where you got that figure from.  Basic Store Subscription is $19.95 per month and has been for a while.

Because you didn't read the small print at the top of the page in the yellow box, and then click on the link! (Have a look at the link I gave you earlier, this is at the top.
