Why can't stop a biting when run out stock ?

I saw their listing as a seller after I posted

But then wondered if they only had one to sell, and maybe they sold it 'early'

Or off eBay

But expect eBay to know if they just let the original listing stay there

Not enough coffee to comprehend how they managed it otherwise

Hopefully they have signed up to Managed Payments at least, and are aware of the QR code if they did sell it to someone on eBay, rather than having it listed somewhere else as well and selling it there

Or deciding to keep it for themselves and not sell it at all

I take you mean bidding?

As for the rest

Can't help, sorry

You'll need to take that up with eBay

Or sellers who have'nt updated their stock fast enough

If you are the seller and it's the RM Williams belt, then it's too late to end the auction.

Expect a red dot when you cancel the sale with the highest bidder.

You can end auctions, but only within a certain time frame.  Read here -

Well, you're stoofed then, aren't you? Were the other items sold today at a loss, sold at the marke (sic) too? You will get a negative for this, which will basically make your future selling career almost impossible (for the next year at least).

So how do you expect eBay to know you sold it elsewhere?

What do you plan on telling the person who is the highest bidder on the eBay auction you kept up?

You will need to be honest with the reason you give when you do cancel on the winning bidder which will mean an instant defect

It was up to you to know what you are doing instead of 'blaming eBay' for letting people bid on an active auction

Oh I thought Ebay did a daily ring around to check we have stock left,  surely it's Ebays fault.  LOL
