There is another thread her atm where the seller admits to charging $10 in excess postage. An item sould cost MAX $9 to post including packaging, he charged $20 for it.

so fees to eBay were on the 99c sale and post was $20 for a domestically posted phone case.

and the seller wonders why he got a negative....

For years sellers have been complaining that they do not have certain features that are part of the US and UK sites. Now that the Australian postage fee policy has been updated so it is the same as the US fee structure they are complaining again!

A fee on our postage and handling costs is plainly dishonest no other way to put it, and  is a 'feature' (!) we can certainly do WITHOUT, thank you very much ! You must be kidding...

If you have been reading the boards you would know that PJ has been warning for years that Australian sellers would not like it if they got all the features of the US and UK sites.   The fees on postage is just one of those features.

Sure enough the Oz sellers are up in arms.

They are not only up in arms, they are/will be also deserting eBay in droves, wait for their first invoice past the 6th of next month...

if 'not dishonest' could you please, qualify it? Is it a service to us, sellers? Is it a levy and not a tax but a fee? Is it a well awaited change in the eBay fee structure by all using the paltform? Is it something we have all been waiting for with fingers and the rest 'crossed? Is it something eBay really need based upon their new unexpected overheads? Are their Philipino customer service staff (quite friendly by the way) going to be paid now more than 200 US dollars a month?  etc... Please, explain, thanks...
