what if item is lost at the moment, what will happen if it does show up?

ok, i sell someone an item, immediately print and lable and bring it to the post office.  tracking shows something like this

shipping label created 12-19 820 pm in beachwood nj

departured from post office 12-19 @432 pm in beachwood nj

acceptance from post office 12-19 @422 pm in beachwood nj

pre shipment info sent

so the last time there was an update was the shipping label created, which is after it already left my towns post office.  no activity since 12-19, and it is only going up north in my state.  seems it never arrived at sorting facility. 

question is i have all the proof i sent it, but will a paypal dispute still find in her favor, (im still totally confused why it isnt the buyers responsiblity for insurance)?

and if they found in her favor, but two weeks later tracking shows she did end up recieving it, what is my recourse?

is there anyway an item would be found, im wondering if the label got ripped off.  thanks

In my experience a lot of parcels are not tracked or at least updated until they are claimed at the other end, some are never updated. DO NOT ask the buyer if they have received the item, just wait to see if there is a problem first then worry about it.
