The race to the bottom vs leading the price.

A few of the better sellers here have let me into this knowledge on being price leaders rather than racing to the bottom to have the lowest possible price.

What are your views?

You need to ask them what are their actual sales are like compared to the lower priced items.

you also need to differentiate between those who are simply clearing their shelves to those who actually try to make $$

It wouldn't worry me what the sales were because you could have $1 million in sales versus his $250,000,

the first question I'd ask is what your profit was.

It's a lot less work (and more profitable) making 20 - 25% of $250k than 10% on a $1 million.

I think the race to the bottom in this country is crazy, we don't have the volume like the US to sustain it.

If someone offers cheap price and free, I'll take it.

just so glad I have a B&M to sell un-economical online books in.

ie: have some lovely big captain Cook and Shakelton books to list.

1.5kg so a $13 satchel to post.

Same big books brand new HC/DJ from UK - $6 + $6 postage.

grrrrrr

you should still list Mr Forgetful. While the others will theoretically get snapped up first yours will sell as some do not like to buy from overseas. It just takes time
