I am surprised & disappointed that the newsof her passing has produced so few posts here.
I have read & enjoyed some of her fiction, but was totally enthralled by her biography of Sir Roden Cutler ~ in my top 10 list.
She was definitely not one for airs & graces and so much the better for it, particularly given her awful childhood and mother.
