Scheduled Site Maintenance - 15 November 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM AEDT

Why do eBay always have to do Maintenance during peak times.

Why can't they operate like banks and do the maintenances during the early hours of example 2am to 4am when there are fewer users online...ridiculous...6pm to 8pm on any night is PEAK Selling Time and Friday Night...stupidity.

I realise this work needs doing but why is it always Friday Nights in peak times?

Many people work during the day and take advantage of this time of night to list, sell and buy.

NOTIFICATION POSTED by eBay today:-

I think it is because it is done from USA getting ready for the weekend.

They are 15-18 hours behind.

Ebay is based in the USA so do their maintenance at a time that is convenient over there.

Australia is very small potatoes in the ebay world.  Anyway it is always the same tme and day and only a few hours out of the week.  Just work round it.

It is not a good idea to list things to end on Friday afternoon/evening anyway, just in case your buyers can not access the listings as they are finishing..
