How do I find what a tracking number relates to?

I'vr got a tracking number of something bought on eBay and it's with Aust Post tracking as late. I can't remember what I bought and I can't find it in my list of purchases. Is there a way to find out what purchase the tracking number or Ebay number relates to?

You have the tracking number - go to the Aust Post site - select tracking - put in the number.

It will give you the details of the number - but not what it is - but where it is.

A couple of things to consider.  Have you bought anything recently from overseas (esp UK or Europe) where a signature was required?  AP can track these so-called tracking numbers but the customer can't once it has left the seller's country.  If you phone AP customer service they may be able to tell you more if it's that kind of tracking number.

If the tracking number can't be found on AP or eBay, did you raise a query with Aust Post about an eBay purchase (late, missing delivery, tracking shows parcel not moving etc)?  Sometimes these AP numbers aren't tracking at all but customer enquiry lodged numbers for which they want you to rate the response to your query.

Change the option in purchase history from 60 days to 2021.

Then the purchase might appear.

But if the seller hasn't uploaded tracking then you can't match it up.

Be careful it's not a scam email so don't click on links.

To check the tracking go directly to the AP website.
