I do a bit of buying and selling, if I get a strike as a buyer does this affect my account in anyway as a seller?

I don't think so...but it should.
As a seller, surely you are aware of the ramifications of NPB's to a seller.
The seller has to go through the process to get fvf refunded, can not relist until the NPB dispute is closed etc etc, not to mention relisting fee's.
Surely you know eBay well enough for this NOT to be an issue - if you purchase - you pay.
