US Postage Price.

Why is it $49.50US for a cd, to be posted to Australia from the US on eBay.

If I buy on another site, its $12-20US still ridiculously overpriced.

The seller said it was the result of inflation?.

Usually when the postage price is high it's due to the item being sent through the Global Shipping Program run by Pitney Bowes and the seller hasn't uploaded the dimensions and weight of the parcel.

That doesn't appear to be the case here, and the seller is either sending by express/priority postage or is inflating the postage price.
