how long do i wait until i report an item

I bought an item from a seller who said they'd sent the item.

Then I got a message from you saying you'd taken the listing down but there's nothing to worry about and the parcel would be on it's way.

The seller is no longer a registered user !!!!!!!

How long do I wait until I act ???????
