Camelbak didn't come with the bladder

Hi Helper-Elves,

I have received the item I purchased, unfortunately the Camelbak didn't come with the bladder even though the listing (133265326990) said Camelbak Charm Hydration Backpack.

OK, perhaps I should have asked as the piccies didn't show the bladder but I feel the seller should have said in the listing that there was no bladder, the item did say Camelbak Charm Hydration Backpack.

I have contacted the seller and she said return it and she'd give me my $5.50 back but the postage was $10 so $15.50 all up which is about par-for-the-course for 2nd hand 1.5L hydration packs.

What should I do?

Thank you in advance,

A

I do hope you signed up for refunded returns before you opened a Paypal dispute, otherwise you may well be responsible for the return postage.

Yes I did sign up for the ebay refunds (Return requested), I haven't opened a PP dispute as they advise to go through ebay

A Camelback without a bladder would be completely useless. If it wasn't included, they should have said so. If there was no mention of the bladder not being included, then it's Item Not as Described all the way.

I would have thought the pictures make it obvious the bladder isn't included.

Do you know what a Camelback is?

Even after reading the original ad, I still don't know what on earth a Camelbak is. Smiley Frustrated

I didn't before but when I searched that item number there were plenty of sponsored ads showing me what it was - and ALL the other ads I saw specifically mentioned bladder in the title and showed the bladder separatelly.  If listings for new ones all mention the bladder is included and the sold one didn't, then a lot of people would assume it's not included.  It's a secondhand one and bladders wouldn't be expected to last forever so you wouldn't necessarily expect the bladder to come with it, even if you did with a new one.  There were several pictures and NONE of them showed the bladder so why would anyone expect to get one?  Why should a seller have to pay for a buyer's mistake (not doing due diligence before they bought)?

Re: Camelbak didn't come with the bladder

The OP mentioned they paid $5.50 for it. That's cheap for a backpack even without a bladder.

My understanding is that a Camelbak isn't solely a fluid transportation device, but also doubles as a backpack.

I'm on the fence with this one, sure the seller put "hydration" in the title, BUT none of the photos showed a bladder for it.

So if it had been me I'd have messaged the seller to clarify whether there was a bladder for it or not, or I wouldn't have bid on it unless I was prepared to buy a bladder afterwards - and I'm not at all sure if I'd want to use a second-hand bladder anyway................

I'm guessing the seller is likely to refund the money and tell the OP to keep the Camelbak, unless they reckon they could get more on another auction.
