Advertise your item as pick-up only, or list on Gumtree instead. Seriously.

You can't prevent people in other states from looking at your listing but if you make it strictly pick-up only, that should be sufficient to restrict interested watchers to within travelling distance of Brisbane.

Also, as Brisbane covers a pretty big area, it would be wise to specify your suburb, or at the very least the general area of Brisbane in which you reside.

do you mean to buy locally ?. if so on the list of items you are looking at you have the option at top of listings where it says best match click on that and scroll down to distance nearest and items listed closes to your postcode will be on the start of the list
