Why does an item I am watching show a different price on my Watch List to that shown on the item listing page?

If you read the boards you will find numerous threads on the same subject.
It is a glitch that ebay seems unwilling or unable to fix.
The item listing is the correct price.

For reasons known only to ebay, the price is shown in US dollars.
If you go into the listing it will show the Australian price

It's very annoying, isn't it. Happening to me too.
Surely the ebay techies could have fixed it by now. If they tried hard.

Careful Springy, if they try too hard they'll probably break something else in the process.....................as usual.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks for me. Maybe ebay like the lower price showing in search considering how dead the site is these days. Lol.
Unfortunately when taken in conjunction with recent sales advertising, including in red under the price on the site, my partner thought that was why the price appeared different and assumed it would be the lower price at checkout. Glad she didnt buy what she was looking at as she would have lost a wad of cash. Wonder if ebay would be held liable for that?
Have they made an official announcement/warning about the issue yet?
