Not Japanese but actually a chinese copy of Satsuma. Age...most likely made in the 1980s, 90s or later.

I found this iem for sale, which looks like a larger version of mine. Mine is unglazed inside and outside of bottom, so is mine likely to be for storage?

 

Also, what is your opinion of pricing of the found item, or mine?

firstly, notice how the painting is almost identical. found item again not hand-painted rather transfer printed. found item asking price IMO about 10 times its actual value.

yours is a vase same as the found item or just a decorators piece.

24' tall for an umbrella stand and only 9' round would mean it would fall over as soon you put an umbrella in it.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, examined mine closely and identified that it was transferred and that though it looked handpainted looks to have been subjected to another process where the paint was applied. Yes, I thought that the pricing was closer to what you suggest. I really appreciate your comments.
