Lady Mate music/trinket box

Afternoon all

I hope that someone can shed some light on my musical box

All I know is that it was bought from Hong Kong mid 70's and has the Lady Mate sticker on the bottom and plays 'Dark Eyes"

I have searched far and wide and have not found this type so far

Enamel/paint on flowe petals has started to come off

Felt inner is in un torn condition and the music pin still works (music turns off when lid placed)

The mirror has markings around the edge

Stands approx 2.5inches tall

Any help on approx value would be appreciated

I think yours would be the same sort of thing, missing the contents. If you google Images for ( "lady mate" musical) you will find several more.

It is actually not a powder compact, but a trinket box as it has an indent inside that looks like it's for a ring?? and the inside is lined with felt

This kind of vintage item is all about condition, condition, condition. Yours is, you would have to admit, a bit....tired. So the value would be inline with condition.

I know you posted this years ago, but do you still have this music box?  I've been looking for a music box that plays Dark Eyes.
