I had just moved from Canberra to Sydney with a 7 week old baby.
I doubt that she was very impressed at being made to sit on my knee and told to watch the TV to see history being made.
While she does not remember it I noticed her telling people she was old enough to have seen the first man land on the moon.

I wish we had. I was quite keen to watch it but went to school. I suppose all the teachers were keen too because we were all taken to the canteen area and had to sit on benches for hours watching TV. The screens were nowhere the size of today's ones and they were in black & white. There were only about 3 small TV's in the canteen.
I remember it took ages. I think something got delayed and it didn't all happen till after lunch time (I think). I wish i had stayed home, I would have had a closer view.
