Captain Cook's coastal tour

Seems was 250 years since the Englishman Captain Cook & crew toured the eastern coast of Australia on the good ship Endevour

You can read his take on events here in his own words

Lieutenant Cook.

Rank of "Post-Captain"  actually was his last rank promoted in 1775 after completing the 2nd voyage of discovery, and upon being retired

ps " Endevour" should be spelt " Endeavour"

Reading that account of congenial trade and banter with the locals, is a shame the crew did not stay on and establish long lasting equal friendship ( the crew seemed very meek , whereas Cook seemed condescending - so i would exclude him)

it is timely, however.

Jimmy lobbed in the Bay on 28/9 April depending on what clock was being used, and extrapolations therefrom.

Phillip beat la Perouse by a bee's as well. Good thing, my French is less than adequate.
