So Bunnings decided it would be a good idea to allow dogs in their stores, but only well behaved ones.
"BUNNINGS Warehouse has flung open its doors to animals, confirming that customers headed to the hardware store could now bring their pets.
Operations director Michael Schneider confirmed the move this afternoon.
“As long as pets are under appropriate control, are not aggressive and do not compromise the safety of our team or customers they are welcome,’’ Mr Schneider said.
But he said staff retained the right to refuse entry to any animal.
“Assistance animals have always been and will always be allowed entry into our stores.’’
Totally ridiculous imo.
3 days after the "dog friendly" policy is put in place and a little girl is bitten on the leg
*for the record i have no issue with guide dogs and assistance dogs*

Bunnings always have charities that do sausage sizzles
on the weekends.
Sausages, little kids and dogs - a disaster waiting to happen IMO
If this is their policy, they've lost me

What next. Fair enough in pet stores but cafes, hardware stores, sorry I'm against it.
Wouldn't it be a health issue, most bunnings stores have a cafe inside.

I suppose they are trying to cater for their tradies who can't seem to go anywhere without their dogs in tow, but no I don't think it's necessary in the warehouse itself. Maybe okay out in the timber/trade area when they might be in the ute or something.

how about the mother teaching the
child not to pat strangers' dogs?
this could have happened anywhere.
in a park, on the street.
We were walking past two little dogs, one was being patted at the time and Madeline tried to pat the other one,” Ms Hungerford said.

i think we will. there are already
dog friendly restaurants in sydney.
and i don't see why we shouldn't have
dog designated spaces on public
transport like in other countries.
there have been many times i'd rather
sit next to a dog than a smelly, annoying
human on a bus.
