Re: Dublin priest tells congregation he is gay – and wins standing ovation

I have friends who were a nun and a priest and both left their positions and married.

They are both lovely people and have 8 children.

People make choices.

Icy there are primary school children with a better understanding of sexual orientation than you are displaying in this thread.

You are coming across as extremely naive or extremey bigoted, not sure which.

Yes.

Do you imagine that in order to remain celibate you have to be (mentally if not physically) a eunuch?

Yes. That is my understanding of a vow of celibacy

That is a contradiction of what you have posted in this thread

How do you know your'e homosexual if you've never had a sexual experience?

I'm more inclined to think bored and deliberately provocative.

I wonder how many priests actually keep their vow of celibacy, hetero or gay. I read that more than 50% of priests in Ireland have a mistress.
