This is outrageous. American company not only steals our iconic boots, but also our name and has the audacity to sue the original manufacturer of UGG boots. To top it all of, they want all the money as well and ruin the Australian company.
I just hope that someone can put a stop to it.

Because of trademark laws, US giant Deckers Outdoor Corporation has the right to the name “ugg” all around the world, except in Australia.
If this is true, then the US company will lose the case.
But, having said that, the fight could cost the Aussie company millions
and send it to the wall

And that's what the Americans want.
They want the lot. Lock, stock and barrel, including all the money the Australian company has made over the years.
Greed is the root of all evil.

There is still an ugly debate with Uggs over where they originated, here or in N.Z.
The U.S. does this sort of thing all the time, and more.
Australians developed an effective flu drug (shortens duration). Worth millions if they could get it on the U.S. market. The American FDA delayed its acceptance while an American company worked on a competing drug so the American one could hit their market first. There's a word for that. Also starts with an A.
