This is a topic inspired by Erica (lind9650) Thanks Erica.
The aim of this thread is to list food items that are 100% Australian made (well, near enough to).
A running list will be compiled and hopefully put alphabetically by some of our OCD experts.
(That's a joke BTW, before I get jumped on)
So for those hard to find Aussie made items, hopefully this will help others to locate them by brand.
And help a little towards steering people to buy Straylian. (Lets not send jobs O.S.)
Simply put the product first then the brand and if you wish, where to find it.
But please, make sure it is Australian Made before posting it here.
Thanks to stawks our first one is -
Rice - Clever Rice.

I wonder if it varies throughout the year like the other varieties in that brand. I checked when I was at IGA tonight. 500g bag medium grain, product of Aus. 1kg bag of medium grain, product of Thailand. 500g long grain, product of China. 1kg long grain, product of Thailand.
To make an addition to the list:
Cheese - Bega, all varieties. They also support their local dairy industry by using local milk where possible.

"not sure if its really a food or an anti rust inhibitor"
The first time I ever saw Vegemite was in Canada and I wondered why grease for bicycle chains would be sold on the shelf amongst foodstuffs .... I still can't eat it, not even hidden on toast.

Tippy, re the rice - Sunrice used to have a long grain rice that was grown in Australia.
I haven't seen it for years now. Believe me I've looked. Not even the calrose rice
is grown in Australia.
Sunrice Doongara Clever Rice is the only one grown in Australia.
All the rest are grown in Thailand, much to my disgust.

TEA ----NERADA TEA from Malanda in far north Queensland.
I have been there with my daughter a few times for scrumptious scones with home made jam and fresh local cream and pots of hot tea.
The tea plantation is huge and they have an oodle of tea varieties in their shop and Restaurant. Their tea is sold in all Supermarkets. Austrakian owned and Australian grown. Visitors wellcome.
