No extra public holiday for Anzac Day 2015

It is the day that is important.  Not the holiday.

Can't people go to a dawn ceremony on a weekend?

The last time it fell on a Saturday was 2009.  No extra day then.

In 2010 when it fell on a Sunday,  Victorians got the Monday as a holiday.

Only Western Australians will get a public holiday on Monday, April 2,  2015

Yep we attend the dawn service every year no matter what day it falls on. I must admit its a but harder to get the youngest two out of bed after a big night BUT they haven't let me down yet!

To bob - Nothing has changed for ANZAC Day (NSW here) People working on Sat will get penal time. People not working on Sat can attend ANZAC Day ceremonies etc if they want to.

Retail is only closed till 1pm as usual.
