Help, isn't there anything that is simple, cheap, easy to use?
I have for years used ACDsee to resize/crop my pics for eBay. It was a simple software that came with film scanner from ALDI. It worked a treat; quick and did all I ever needed. It even had simple touch up function. As I now have new computer with windows 8, and the photo software included is horrible. I find it impossible to even sort out the pics I ant to use, as I do not see the numbers of the photos as I brows trough them, I can see how to crop, but cannot see how to resize them.
I was going to get the ADCsee17; got the 2 weeks free trial an it is OK. I was pretty much decided I will get it, although I do not like it as much as the old one, but today when I tried to download it, they are pushing on me everything else including some virus software, and I lost interest.

I have used PhotoScape for years.
It's a freebie. It may not be too sophisticated but it does what I want it to do.

Good one Supernova. It's very handy and good fun to play around with. I only just found out yesterday that I can even put a sun flare in my photos 😄
