end of an era with this forum

so ive played with the new improved forum today and well

its pretty much over for me

too hard looking for threads i want to add to

getting messages i'm "flooding the thread" go away for an hour

what kind of 'conversation' do you have where you must wait an hour before saying anything new?

i will still post now n then but that'll prolly wain pretty quickly

WELL DONE WHOEVER IT WAS

killed the forum

imastawka, your image isn't loading for me. Unless you wanted it to only partially load and be improperly rendered, I'd call that a fail on the part of this forum design.

Countess, it seems to be hit and miss with images / emojis.

Some load eventually.....but some just sit there with the hourglass

Re: end of an era with this forum

The forum style seems to deserve a wooden spoon.

I see what you mean. They're just not loading! EDIT: They weren't loading properly in my post preview window, but they seem to be fine when actually posted. Weird.

Hmm... When you click onto an image, you're presented with options to align it, change the size, and edit the image. Clicking onto the edit image icon, look at what you'll see...

Re: end of an era with this forum

so lets say i post an update to the leroy or rosie threads

i'll know ive done it but looks to me like the threads will still be wayyyyy down the list

anyone interested will need to be looking for those threads

posting wont bring them to the top of the pile like before

so no point bothering IMO

same goes for every thread

unless you replying to a thread near the top, ie a newish thread, your likely to just get lost in the mist of time

seems a pretty stupid improvement to me

and there is no "POST" button, just a 'cancel' or' reply' button.

what the?

Stops bringing up dead threads - but if you click on the forum button at the top Choose Most viewed or commented you will find Rosie -  OR   Just enter rosie in the search bar and it comes up, I just checked. Float it to the top once you open it and find the latest post (on the last page)

Same pattern as what happened over the pond in their now dead forum

Is a free speech issue - my guess is some influential entity got burnt and objected

Hi David ... look for the cccccaturday thread, it's up and running.   As awful as the new setup is, I think is will be "okay" for the want of a better word.
