I have 2 which have never flowered.
I am really cross with one because it recently cracked/broke a terracotta pot that it was growing in. (That is how gardening wisdom comes about.)
The other potted one, was rescued from a neglected garden. It had been lying on its side for about 10 years. It's now had 5 years of growth in the upright position proudy presenting a dogs-hind-leg stem,

I've been watching the local red dragon flies with their antics.
They have been hovering around for a while.
I witnessed one splashing water with its tail towards the plants edging the fish pond. Sort of a "Flipper" action.
Reading up on it, Each flick of the abdomen releases several tiny eggs.

Unfortunately, fish are in the pond.
So I've set up an old metal wash basin in the nearby vicinity, hoping Big Red's eggs continue their lifecycle.

Thought I better keep you updated.
This is one of two young cockatoos who like to spend the day with me.
This one doesn't mind having his photo taken, the other one's prone to climbing onto the camera to see what makes it work.
They're good company, but they can be a handful, sometimes. (Personally, I think their parents are glad of the break, during the day, ha ha).
