I went to list an item for sale on eBay today to discover that my account was restricted from selling due to being linked to another account that has been restricted. I have not sold an item on eBay since 2013 and only been making purchases. I have a 100% purchase record and the items I did sell back then I have a perfect record for as well.
No idea what that what the restriction was for, I contacted eBay via chat. Below is transcript:

um, when did I appeal? I only just found out my account what restricted and contacted customer support to enquire why? How can I appeal if I don't know?
Wade please note that this restriction is permanent. You will not be able to participate in any selling activities on eBay but you can continue to buy on the website.

Wade as I have stated above multiple times this decision is final and will not be reversed and no escalation or appeal is possible in this acse.
This isn't fair. I haven't done anything and you won't tell me what it is you think I have done to warrant this restriction

What can I do? I don't know what it is they think I have done. No one else in my family has an eBay account so doesn't use the same addresses etc. Seeking help to try and get some answers, hard to accept this with no reason or justification. Any assistance would be appreciated.
