Adelaide to NSW - large letter - 1 day short of 5 weeks. Yup, tomorrow it will be exactly 5 weeks since I posted.
How fortunate for me that I had a lovely buyer!
Not good enough is it!

Use another carrier.

my pigeon could cover that distance faster than that.

And if you post another one, make sure you get proof of lodgement and get them to print a label rather than using stamps.
I religously use return adresses and have never had one come back yet.
A courier is probably a better option.

It was a large letter. Apart from Aust Post, who can you use to deliver large letters interstate without charging a fortune ?

Me too. Through Aust Post its a couple of bucks for a large letter. I dont think too many courier companies would be jumping at the bit to deliver it for that price

Agree pickapresen.
Noting too that Australia Post has a legislated monopoly on the delivery of letters domestically if they are under 250grams
Even for letters over 250g there are no comparable services available for domestic letters for a price in the ball park of the AP cost to send.

Yes, I know this is a month old post, but it seems nothing has improved.
Australia Post get another GONG from me. 25 days from Adelaide to Victoria.
Posted 5th December. Refunded by me for non arrival. Arrived last night after 7pm.
Another Large Letter with a soft item in it.
And a lovely buyer who gets the kudos for letting me know it had arrived (finally) and requesting an invoice to pay for it.
Good one Auspost (blows a HUGE raspberry)
