Buyer will not contact me how long do I wait before resisting item?

Your item only sold 2 days ago.

You have to wait 4 days before opening an Unpaid Item dispute.....then wait 4 more days before closing the case and issuing a strike to the buyer (if they do not pay in the 4 days).

After you close the case you can relist the item.

After 4 days you can open a "non-paying buyer" dispute, after a furthur 4 days if the buyer doesn't pay you can close it and are free to relist.

It's been less than 2 days since the desk sold, and the buyer may well not have been on their computer in that time, especially since it's the holdiday period.

If it does end up that you relist, you may like to consider adding something about buyer needs to make contact within (x ampount of time) as you expect a same day response
