I'm sending refund by bank transfer to a buyer who paid by bank transer. I asked her for BSB and A/N. She wouldn't give it to me.
We've been sending message to each other for 2 weeks. She insisit I can see her bank details in my netbank, which is not true.
I explained 100 times bank doesn't disclose it to me, and asked her to call her bank to confirm. She won't listen.
This endless conversation makes me wonder if I'm wrong.
Can you see buyer's bank details when you receive payment by bank transer?

No, you cannot see the account details, only the sender's name and reference (if one was used).

No you cannot see the bank details of someone who has made a deposit into your account (at least I can't see it in my St George account) but there should be a reference number of some sort.
Ask your bank if they can trace the reference number and get the senders details. or alternately deposit some money into that account without giving you the details.
To be honest, if the buyer refuses to give her details she does not deserve the refund....and she cannot do anything about it if you don't give it to her.

That's exactly what I told the buyer.
I can't believe why she does not understand.
She thinks she can see my bank details and I must can see hers.
My goodness. I have explained so many times and now she is going mad.

Thanks. As long as I'm doing the right thing, I'm not scared of any dispute.
It's just exhausting explaining to someone who's so believing in herself and would not listen at all.

That's a good idea.

But that is the whole point....if she used bank deposit she cannot open a dispute of any sort. You have nothing to be scared of.
even if she does try to go further, you have all the messages showing that you have tried to do the right thing.

And if she gives you a neg, ebay will remove it.
You've done the right thing the whole way through.
She doesn't deserve a refund IMO
