Do people have much success selling electrical good (stereo's etc) when they don't have a remote?

It depends on whether it can be used without a remote or not.

No use trying to sell it if it cannot be used.

We have several electrical items that do not need a remote....doesn't worry me, but we bought them new.   Not sure that I would buy second hand though.

it does not hurt to try, also there are lots of multi remotes for sale ,  so buyers can buy them pretty cheap these days.

I gave up years ago when trying to sell set top boxes. In fact, I couldn't even sell them with the remote!
