How to I stop someone from following me on eBay?

Hi. I have just noticed that I have an ex as one of my followers on Ebay. I'm very freaked out by it and don't feel it's any of his business what I sell or buy. It feels very stalkerish to me! Is there any way to stop someone from viewing what you sell or buy? Very grateful for any help please. Thank you, B.

You could close your account and start a new one.

If you are just buying there is nothing for them to watch.

If you are selling you can stop them buying from you by putting them on your blocked bidder list

Currently here is no way for you to stop anyone from watching your items.

Just put them on your Blocked Buyers List so they cannot see you.

Surely you don't have to go to all the trouble of closing a perfectly good account?

Don't close your account,  just change the ID name.

You can't find a new name change.

Only what the previous ID was

Yes that's what I'm thinking that I'll have to do.  It's taken me years to build that feedback!  Just makes me feel really uncomfortable being followed by an ex.  Dam it, I friggin loved that username to! lol 🙂

I'm unsure whether your followers come with your new ID or not

Maybe someone else knows and can help

If they are following your account, a name change won't get rid of them. Your new ID will also show up after a search for the old ID for a month after the change.

I would personally let this account go dormant for a while and use an alternative (or new account), but keep an eye on this one and if they un-follow, change the name then, and hopefully they won't look for your old ID within the next month.
