I thought great, I have a few extra items to sell.
I listed 10 items.
I checked my account - I was charged listing fees.
Two of my items sold - I was charged FV fees.
I contated Ebay and asked what was happening.
I was told that they had no record of this offer.
I explained that it was on My Ebay under promo offers - not an email which might be dodgey, it was actually on my account.
Sorry, no record.
Utterly hopeless. Their customer service is a joke.
Beware if you receive this offer. They are not bothering to honour it.
And what can anyone do? Ebay have become a law unto themselves.

It seems that everyone just accepts this rubbish from ebay.
If a big retailer failed to honour a promotion it would be all over the media.
But ebay always seem to get away with it and no one comments

If you read the boards you will see that no-one is just accepting the current ebay glitches....they are fighting tooth and nail to get them fixed but there comes a time when no amount of contacting ebay does any good at all.
In view of the fact that everyone who phones ebay gets a different answer thre is very little point in continuing to waste your time and energy doing the same thing time and time again.

I got that one too!
Haven' t tried to use it yet though. Did you read the T's & C's? Were you eligible for the promo?
I was also offered the same promo on an account I haven't sold on for ages - it definitely didn't qualify.

I have been on live chat where they told me there is no issue,it's just me
I have phoned and was told they only just found out about it 'that same day' (told them nonsense, I reported it the day before and was told it was just me)
That day I used the 'call me' option. Was told it was 'just me' told them I am well aware that is not true and so are they
Was disconnected (funny that)
Next day, I used the call me option again. Was again told they had only just been made aware and would take a couple of days
Another member on the boards was told a few weeks
Not sure how anywhere here is just accepting it, but I am most certainly open to your ideas of what more we can do
It won't fix it, but I am posting on Facebook about the issues (my own page)
I have many folks on my friends list so I am letting them know and asking people to pass it on they need to CHECK before they list what they are being charged
Ebay is no doubt rubbing their greedy mits together with glee over all the $$$$ they are making with people who do not notice the charge or who don't /don't know how to do anything about it

It may have started as a glitch, but I believe ebay are now testing the water to see who will list with fees.
It has now been 9 days since this carp started for me. I have contacted ebay several times, and all they say is list and we will refund. Yeah right, that's why the forums are full of people still waiting for their refunds.

I have listed several new items and revised a couple of others over 3 accounts. No problems here nor have they even tried to bill me. Seems they must know I am broke and no point asking for more money 😛
