Just got back from the PO and not happy they told be no receipts when you lodge a satchel now due to a change in the computer system.
I usually take a photo of the receipt and send it to the buyer .
They would not scan my my card either. When I pointed out that I have no proof of logement I was told that all I have to do is put the number in the Australia post tracking and it will show it has been posted.
As far as I can see that gives the seller no proof of being posted should a dispute arise with either paypal or ebay unless they accept a screen shot of the tracking instead of a printed lodgement receipt
Is mine the only PO that is doing this or has anyone else had the same problem.

It was an Australia Post Business centre not an LPO

I don't even know what that means.
Is it a genuine Australia Post Office building or a Post Office counter in another shop?
I'd still be going elsewhere, just for the peace of mind of that receipt.

Unfortunately not all of us have a choice.
Our LPO is 25km from home, the next closest is another 45km away.

Stawks, an AP Business Hub is a PO that is supposed to specialise in business mail and solutions.
They are supposed to have the most up to date information to help businesses get the best value for money.

I agree, I know staff in certain places have told me a load of bull's wool just to save them spending a few seconds doing something

As long as you see them scan every satchel (and hear the beep), it's all good. You have to make sure that your tracking numbers are lodged on ebay before handing the stachels over.
To prove that the item has been posted, simply click on the tracking number on ebay and it will show you that the item has been received by Australia Post.

Had no problem getting a lodgement receipt yesterday from my LPO. They always tell me if there are changes coming. They are good to me. The satchel I posted yesterday, the scanner refused to read the bar code. Both the lady and her postmaster husband spent nearly 10 minutes trying to sort it out. In the end, they had to manually ender the 5,000 digit tracking number.
No problem scanning my My Post card either. I don't know why any PO would refuse to scan a My Post card because they get a little kickback from doing so.
