Hi all - i have sold my first item on ebay.  Yay it was exciting.

Then i printed a mailing label, took the parcel to Australia Post, affixed the label, the lady scanned the parcel and sent it off.

In your Sold area, just underneath the title of the item that you sold, there may be a title which says 'Tracking number: [Add]'.

Click on the Add button and on the next page just add the tracking number, aswell as 'Australia Post' as the carrier. Make sure to type 'Australia Post' exactly as it is, as the system won't pick up 'AusPost' or other abbreviations.

You don't have to inform the buyer that it's been posted but a friendly message stating that it's posted should be good. Sometimes the buyer replies, sometimes not, doesn't really matter. Just a nice way to start the transaction and may lead to more by building a good rapport.
